Support Fair Trade

Support Fair Trade is a single place online where consumers can find Fair Trade products from many retailers. The service is free for consumers and for retailers. Simply create an account and list your business and your products. You can list unlimited products free of charge. Each listing links back to your
web site where the consumer can make the purchase.

Premium seller services will be added at a later date, but the basic service will always be free. The premium services under development include a Featured Seller account which will allow the seller to push the listing to the top of the category  and a series of showcase categories which will require a fee for each listing. All the income from these premium services will be used for marketing the site to benefit all sellers. Global Crafts  - the site developers will jump start the site by allocating $2000 to Google marketing in April and May 2008. As traffic increases we will start adding premium services to continue and extend the marketing reach.

Global Crafts does not feel able to make any judgment as to who is Fair Trade and who is not. We have made a decision that only sellers with up to date membership of one or more Fair Trade organizations can add products to the site as a seller. We will allow non members who sell Fair Trade products to setup a profile with a link to your website, but you will not be able to list products. We apologize in advance to retailers who will not meet this criteria. 

How do I setup a seller account ?

Simply sign up - your  account will not activate immediately. Within 48 hours your account will be active. Once active you can enhance your profile page with an image and more text and start to list products into your Support Fair Trade store.

Is it possible to sell here if I do not have an eCommerce website ?

Yes - alhough it is not straight forward you can link your listing directly to a shopping cart such as PayPal (using the newsletter link). Please discuss this with us before you try it. You must be capable of processing the transaction yourself using a service such as PayPal.

Premium Show Case Categories are special promoted categories such as Holiday Gift Guide , Valentine Gifts , For Him, For Her. Fees will be per listing and vary depending on the category. For example a For Him—listing may be $5  while a Holiday Gift Guide may be $15 . Show Case listing will expire.
